Education
We appreciate your interest in pursuing studies in this field and joining our herbal medicine community.
At the Association of Master Herbalists (AMH), we promote excellence in herbal medicine education and practice. While we do not directly accredit courses, we recommend seeking programmes recognised by reputable accrediting bodies.
In the UK, several esteemed institutions offer accredited courses in herbal medicine. Some examples include:
• Betonica School of Herbal Medicine
• Heartwood Education
• The BSc (Hons) Clinical Herbalism
• The School of Herbal Medicine
We encourage you to thoroughly research these institutions and their programmes to determine which aligns best with your academic and professional goals.
If you are pursuing a career as an herbalist and planning to enrol in an herbal medicine course that is not currently accredited, we have a mapping service that might interest you and your teaching institution. This service is being developed and designed explicitly for non-accredited educational institutions. Its purpose is to make it easier for students and graduate practitioners from non-accredited institutions to join the AMH. The service will be available soon, enabling a seamless integration process.
If you have any additional questions, wish to receive updates about our mapping service launch, or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We are here to assist you in becoming an herbal medicine practitioner.
